It was August 2016, and I had just come through a massive emotional and financial breakdown. I made the heartbreaking decision to close down the women’s empowerment membership business I had co-founded with my best friend. To be honest, walking away from something we’d built together—something that held so much potential—left me feeling like a “quitter.” And trust me, I’ve never thought of myself as one. This was tough.

Here’s how I got there...

In my mid-20s, fresh out of business school, I landed at a direct marketing company where I learned the art of sales. I picked it up fast—so fast that before long, I launched my own B2B sales company, had 30 employees and had a Fortune 500 company as my client.

That’s where I really discovered my gift for sales and passion for mentoring. It was like a bootcamp that taught me to develop other people's talent.

But it was also hard and years of grinding took their toll, and burnout finally pushed me to step away, knowing something had to change.

A couple years later, after starting a family, my best friend and I launched a local women’s entrepreneurship club.

It was a blast—successful, fulfilling, and I loved building relationships. But deep down, I missed the deep work of mentoring.

My soul kept whispering louder until I couldn’t ignore it. The fire for coaching and developing talent was reigniting, but after being out of 1:1 mentoring for so long, I was overwhelmed and unsure how to dive into the online world.

Still, I gathered my courage to start again—this time, aligned with a vision, which quite frankly I had no idea how I was going to fulfill.

But it wasn’t easy. I spent money on courses, invested time in learning, and tried to “fake it till I made it.”

But the online world felt like a jungle, and I was stuck.

To make matters worse... I got a phone call from my doctor that changed everything.

I was diagnosed with a brain tumor the size of an apple. I was terrified.

So here I was, my body was failing me, my relationship was struggling, and I was financially dependent, despite all the success I had achieved earlier in my life.

It was the darkest place I’d ever been, and I found myself asking, “How did I end up here?”

But in that moment, I made a decision that would forever alter the course of my life. I decided to figure out how to make my business work before surgery, manifest a successful outcome, and take control of my life—no matter the odds.

You see, I’ve been drawn to spirituality my whole life, practicing manifestation long before it was mainstream. Now, I was about to put everything I’d learned to the ultimate test.

I dove headfirst into everything I knew about manifesting, sales, and marketing, and created a plan to move my business forward—a system I now teach in

inside our programs.

Then, I made a commitment with myself to showing up every single day for that vision, and with that fierce determination, things started to shift.

I started using video to get visible, signed on my first few 1:1 clients, and six months later, had a successful brain surgery that restored my hearing. In fact, my doctors were stunned.

But it didn’t stop there. Just a month after my recovery, I launched my first online group program—and filled it. And guess what? I hit six figures as a coach. Woohoo!

But with success came an unexpected challenge: guilt.

As my income grew, so did my inner fears and doubts. Who was I to make this kind of money? Who was I to live my dream? I realized I had to face deep-rooted spiritual blocks around money, as well as mindset blocks around self-worth and deservingness.

But, I’m always learning. So, I took a deep dive into the inner work, shifted my relationship with money, and made space for abundance to flow in. I worked on connecting more deeply with my soul and finding the confidence to show up fully—whether on stage, in front of the camera, or in my relationships. And once I started embracing that, things really began to shift.

The result? I realized that our purpose creates "the demand"—and the Universe is always ready with "the supply" to support us as we step more fully into that purpose.

Living as a fully self-expressed human, grounded in your purpose and building a profitable business that blesses others, is truly one of the noblest pursuits there is.

The Universe will always meet your needs. Every step will reveal itself as long as you stay the course.

I also learned that true success is about so much more than just landing a client or two. It’s about finding harmony between intuition and intellect, passion and practicality. It’s about building a thriving, aligned business that integrates every part of who you are—a business that grows not just in revenue but in its impact. And, perhaps most importantly, it’s the fulfillment that comes from knowing you’re making a difference and living your purpose, day after day.

As my business flourished, my relationships deepened, and I began helping other entrepreneurs break through their own fears and blocks. Watching them not only grow their businesses but also step into their true potential has been incredible.

Now, I’m truly living my best life (I know, sounds cliché—but it’s true!). I’m in a small beach town, right on the water, where I feed swans daily and shuttle my boys from basketball practice to our favorite pizza spot when I can’t be bothered to cook.

I get to paddleboard in the afternoon, host retreats and workshops, let my creativity roam, and—most importantly—make a real impact on people’s lives.

Today, I’m on a mission to empower other brave souls who want to make a bigger impact.
